This post is courtesy of Nick, our newly appointed Vice President of J2S! Congratulations Nick! More on the results of our recent meeting to follow, but for now here are Nick’s thoughts on solidifying the future and the vision.
‘To enable the development of a mission statement I first asked who the customers of J2S are. I reviewed the information that Jay has provided to me through discussions, emails, and on the website before I began to try and identify the customer. Our customers are anyone who could benefit from our skills to help improve their standard of life. This is very broad so I tried to refine it and narrow in by trying to understand how we plan to improve the standard of life. Is it through improved health, through education, through life skills, or some other means? My conclusion is that it is through improved health, which includes access to health care and education on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. So now I’m starting to see a customer forming, but this still requires refinement.’

As per our latest board meeting this Thursday the 8th. We talked about sustainability and this project continuing to live long after Jay leaves Madagascar. So why not set up a scholarship program for a young Malagassy to go to Chiropractic school and continue our vision after graduation by returning home and really Bringing Wellness to the world.
There is also the aspect of providing basic needs, ie clean water, hygiene, food and nutritional supplies. People on the ground there have mentioned that Calcium deficiency’s are a major problem, so there is another need of the people we can target into the future.
