This week I was in Las Vegas to attend the Parker Chiropractic Seminars and to garner support for J2S. I was energized and excited by the people I met, the wishes they bestowed upon me as a missionary, and the speakers I heard. One person in particular, Dr. John Demartini was especially captivating and had this paraphrased quote on vision: ‘Be clear and be in communion with your dreams and hopes, because with long-term vision and strategy your thoughts and actions become electrified. Do this and your dreams will always manifest as true.’

As I left Las Vegas and prepare to transition to Madagascar Feb 2nd, I leave with more energy and conviction than ever before. I leave with the idea that my/our dreams for a healthier world through Chiropractic with peace and compassion as the keystones will indeed manifest. However, what about the hopes and dreams of the people we are serving? I go forward to Africa knowing that there are people with dreams of health, compassion, education, fellowship, and that I might be the physical answer to their prayer. What an exciting proposition! Have you ever thought about the fact that you as a doctor, as a nurse as a student or as a librarian can and will be the answer to peoples’ dreams? You are the light that removes peoples darkness.

Yet dreams don’t come true and lives aren’t altered for the better without the generous support of people like you who read this, create intention, send prayers and give money. For that, all of us at J2S are eternally grateful. We still have a long and arduous road in front of us and have lots of money to raise if we indeed are going to create positive sustainable change in the world.
