GHANA

Dr. Jay Breitlow has lead small mission trips into villages near Accra - Ghana, as well as served as a volunteer Chiropractor in a clinic in greater Accra.   Dr Breitlow was on site from Feb 2009 - December 2009 and is happy to speak directly about his time there.

Dr. Jay returns to Ghana to begin research on how far reaching Chiropractic care can go into strengthening the immune system.  Specifically his time will be spent living at a small orphanage with 20 children who are born into a life of HIV/AIDS.  Please contact the J2S team or Dr. Jay directly at jay[at]journeytosolidarity.org for information relating to this exciting mission.

Currently we are supporting fund raising for two long-term missionaries to live in Ghana as well as a November 2010 short term trip with our sister organization in Canada “Chiropractic for the World”

MADAGASCAR

Originally slated to start in January 2009.  However, political turmoil and ensuing violence has delayed this departure indefinitely.  The ground work, support and contacts are all willing and able to take missionaries once stability returns to the East African Island nation.  Until that time please keep these people in your intentions for peace and happiness.

Tentative locations: Diego Suarez/Antsiranana, Sambava and Antilaha (Madagascar). Included are smaller outlying towns and villages.

FIJI

Currently the team is developing a plan of action for the Fijian Islands.  Similar to Madagascar, Fiji has recently seen a new government put in place due to military presence.  The primary difference is that there has been no violence.  Prospective time frame is late 2011.  Similar to Madagascar, we have wonderful and willing contacts on the ground in Fiji.
